Grizzly Bears and Brown Bears 3 images Created 9 Feb 2015
I will always remember the first time I saw a grizzly bear in the wild. My wife and I had been observing a black bear with cubs in the Tower area of Yellowstone National Park. We noticed a gentlemen sitting in a camper taking notes and asked if he was reserching bears. His name was Jim Cole and he had written two books on Grizzly Bears. We mentioned that we had never seen a grizzly and Jim told us where he had seen a grizzly the previous day. He actually met us at the location, spotted the bear, and let us use his spotting scope for a closer look. It was an incredible experience and only gets better every time we see a bear.
